(Florida City, Fla.) - The ZCC and Black and Veatch (BVZ) alliance project team at Florida Power & Light Company’s Turkey Point expansion project participated in the site’s first blood drive. Seventy-five employees donated 68 pints of blood to Community Blood Centers of South Florida.

“We are so proud of our employees,” said Training Coordinator Missy Solis. “Our team members have made helping others a priority and are doing everything they can to give back to the community.”

In a thank you letter to the project team, blood center representative Melitza Perez called the blood drive an overwhelming success. She added that “the selfless generosity of the donors should be commended.”
