(Newburg, Maryland) –Zachry and consortium partner Riley Power Inc. have secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract with Mirant Mid-Atlantic, LLC (Mirant) to provide selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems for two units at the company’s coal-fired Morgantown Generating Plant in Newburg, Maryland.

In response to federal mandates to reduce emissions, power plants across the country are turning to technologies and processes such as SCR systems to help improve air quality. The latest in a series of SCR retrofits for Zachry, this project marks the company’s first contract in Maryland and first working relationship with Mirant.
