ExxonMobile Completes Commercial Startup at
Beaumont Cogeneration Facility

(Beaumont, Texas) –
ExxonMobile Chemical Company completed full commercial start-up
of the new cogen additions at its Beaumont Cogeneration Facility
in Beaumont, Texas. Zachry Construction Corporation, as part
of Jefferson County Power Partners, completed construction
of the $300 million, 510-Megawatt cogen addition in January
2005.
ExxonMobile began commerial
operation of two of the new units this past June. Startup
of the last unit occured in August.
A total of three 170-megawatt
natural gas-fired GE Power Systems combustion turbine generators
and three Foster Wheeler heat recovery steam generator were
added to the power plant.
