ZCC's 2004-2005 United Way Campaign Nets $2.4 million
March
2005
(San Antonio, Texas) - Seventy-five
percent of ZCC’s employees contributed to the company’s
2004-05 United Way campaign, despite a challenging economy,
a record number of devastating hurricanes in the southeast
and lower employment numbers.
“Once again, the family
of Zachry employees has stepped up and put its money where
its heart is, recognizing the importance of helping others
even during tough times,” said Senior Vice President
of Corporate Business Development and 2004-05 Campaign Chair
Keith Manning. “It’s a testament not only to the
Zachry culture, but to the commitment—at all levels
of the organization—to help others.”
Employee pledges totaled $1.2
million—$2.4 million with the corporate match—and
will benefit as many as 130 different United Way agencies
across 21 states and in Puerto Rico, Cambodia and the Philippines.
Projects with Field Volunteer
Contribution Committees will use 25 percent of corporate matching
dollars to contribute to local projects in their respective
communities
