(Austin, Texas)–Zachry Construction Corporation and joint venture partner Gilbert Texas Construction, L.P. (ZGC), will begin work in late February on an $81 million, 39-month contract from the Texas Department of Transportation's Texas Turnpike Authority. The contract calls for construction of a four level T-interchnge that will connect the new SH45N and Loop 1 extension.

ZGC will construct approximately three mainlane miles of SH 45 North, which will eventually be a 16-mile, east-west toll road extending from U.S. Hwy 183 to SH 130 and directly link Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock and Pflugerville.

SH 45 North, the Loop 1 extension, SH 130 and U.S. Hwy 183A will eventually comprise the 122-mile Central Texas Turnpike Project, which will improve mobility and travel safety in Central Texas.
