(San Antonio, Texas) - After a thorough evaluation, Chevron Phillips Chemical has entered into a new
three-year maintenance contract with Zachry Construction Corporation for five of its domestic facilities.

Beginning in the first quarter of 2005, contract maintenance services at Chevron Phillips Chemical's Cedar Bayou, Pasadena, Port Arthur, and Orange facilities in Texas as well as the St. James facility in St. James, Louisiana, will be provided by Zachry Construction Corporation.

ZCC will focus on improving the effectiveness of work processes and maintaining safety excellence, as well as developing methods to achieve greater craft utilization and enhanced turnaround planning and management.
