While
program for employee development are not unusual in the
construction industry, Zachry’s approach to employee
development sets us apart. We tie developmental goals to
performance reviews, job requirements and company business
goals. Through our performance management plan system, employees
are assigned individual training goals chosen to enhance
their performance and prepare them for future positions
and growth in the company. We believe lifelong learning
empowers employees to take initiative, share ideas and think
creatively, and that focused employee development ultimately
provides our customers with better services, in addition
to benefiting the employee.
Zachry employees can take advantage of professional
development opportunities through formal education, seminars,
conferences, web based training, web conferencing, special
work assignments and books. To help ensure that training is
accessible to employees, we created the Zachry
Learning Center, a virtual library of training and employee
development opportunities.
The Zachry
Learning Center offers supervisors and employees a variety
of options by which to select development opportunities. The
Leaning Center is yet another way our employees become and
remain enthusiastic and highly effective. Our customers also
benefit by having access to a knowledgeable, qualified workforce,
up to date on all aspects of their job duties and craft.
