Health Insurance
A PPO plan allows employees to select doctors in or out of
network. An EPO plan, available in some regions of the country,
allows employees to meet their health care needs within its
provider network. A fixed dollar medical indemnity plan, which
pays a set dollar amount for some medical services, is also
available.
Term Life Insurance
In addition to company-provided term life insurance, Zachry
offers term life insurance at affordable group rates to employees
and their families.
Employee Assistance Program
Zachry recognizes the impact that personal issues and problems can have on employees and their families. In an effort to provide a source of help, we offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week in a confidential setting. The EAP is meant to support employees’ personal and professional concerns. It’s an approach we take for a number of reasons, but primarily because it’s the right thing to do.

The EAP provides employee assistance on
a variety of issues, including depression, marital issues,
substance abuse and relationships. Our unique “Chaplain-based”
approach provides support for the physical, emotional, psychological
and spiritual needs of employees, as appropriate. We use a
short-term assess/ refer/ follow-up process to provide the
resources needed for each individual case, quickly and confidentially.
When the need for additional support is indicated, employees
are referred to professional providers for long-term care
and assistance.
Zachry’s Employee Assistance Program
is managed by Corporate Chaplains prepared to respond to personal
issues and problems ecumenically, remaining sensitive to the
unique emotional and spiritual needs of each employee. Whatever
the challenge, the Chaplains, as members of the Zachry Company,
share a common background with other Zachry employees that
makes them uniquely effective in offering help and support.
EAP consultants are available to all Zachry employees, with
personal consultation available in the Zachry Home Office
in San Antonio.

401(k) Plan
Zachry contributes to the employee 401(k) plan at the following
rates: dollar for dollar for the first one percent of salary,
and 50 cents on the dollar for the next three percent. Employees
can contribute up to 25 percent of their salary to the plan.

Retirement Plan
Zachry contributes two percent of eligible employees’
salaries into a retirement plan.
Dental Insurance
A traditional dental plan provides levels of payment for eligible
dental expenses and has no network requirements. A dental
HMO, available in some states, provides scheduled dental services
through a network of dentists.
Cancer and Specified Disease Plan
This plan, although not a medical plan, supplements employees’
medical coverage and pays specific benefits if a covered member
contracts any of 21 covered diseases.
Vision Program
Zachry’s vision program offers discounts on vision care
services and products.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment
Insurance
The AD&D plan is designed to provide lump-sum benefits
in the event of accidental death or dismemberment of a covered
person.
Medical Reimbursement Account
This plan allows employees to accumulate cash tax free to
help pay for reimbursable medical expenses not covered by
an insurance plan.
Dependent Care Reimbursement Account
This plan allows employees to accumulate cash tax free to
help pay for reimbursable dependent care expenses.
Disability Insurance
Voluntary short-term disability insurance is available to
eligible employees.
